Summary
By using Vedari, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them short and honest. Vedari is a contemplative companion — not a medical, financial, legal, or therapeutic advisor.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Vedari. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity that happens on your account. Keep your Google sign-in credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at care@trueoutlook.in.
3. The nature of Vedari's guidance
Vedari uses Vedic astrology computations (Mahadasha, Antardasha, Nakshatra, etc.) computed via the Prokerala API and presents personalized reflections generated by AI (Anthropic Claude). The guidance is contemplative and reflective in nature.
Vedari is NOT a substitute for professional advice. Specifically:
- Vedari does not provide medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice. If you are in mental-health distress, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline immediately (in India: iCall — 9152987821).
- Vedari does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Do not make material life decisions based solely on Vedari's content.
- The Vedic computations depend on the accuracy of the birth time you provide. Approximate times reduce precision.
4. Subscription, free trial, and cancellation
Vedari offers a free trial period (currently 7 days from sign-up, subject to change) followed by a paid subscription. Subscription pricing and renewal cadence are shown clearly before any charge is made.
If you subscribe via Google Play or Apple App Store, billing, refunds, and cancellation are handled through that store and governed by their terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Google Play or App Store account settings.
If you subscribe directly through Vedari (web), you may cancel at any time by emailing care@trueoutlook.in. Refunds are handled case-by-case in accordance with applicable consumer law.
5. Your content
You retain full ownership of everything you write in Vedari — Journal entries, Life Letter, notes. You grant Vedari a limited, revocable license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
When you delete your account, all your content is permanently deleted within 30 days.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Vedari for any illegal purpose, or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract bulk content from the app.
- Use Vedari to harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Share your account with others or attempt to bypass authentication.
- Submit deliberately false birth details with the intent to disrupt the service.
7. Intellectual property
The Vedari name, logo, design system, written copy, and underlying software are owned by Vedari. You may not copy, redistribute, or build derivative products from Vedari's content without written permission.
8. Third-party services
Vedari relies on third-party services: Google (Sign-In), Anthropic (Claude AI), Prokerala (Vedic computations), Open-Meteo (geocoding), and our cloud hosting provider. Your use of Vedari is subject to those services' terms in addition to ours. We are not responsible for downtime or changes in third-party APIs.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Vedari is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI-generated guidance will be accurate or suitable for any specific purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vedari and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms will not exceed the amount you paid Vedari in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (whichever is greater).
11. Termination
You may stop using Vedari and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, sections 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product evolves. For meaningful changes, we will notify you in-app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides mandatory local-law rights (e.g., EEA, UK, California), those rights are not affected by this clause.
